Ali Kay started as a simple girl who set up a business of her own while struggling to cope with the hectic schedule of college life. She is from Miami and a daughter of a money manager who spends all their family’s money and leaves them bankrupt. However, it does not prevent her from dreaming big and pursuing her ambition. Being imaginative and resourceful, she uses her talent to design yoga pants and comfortable night clothes which she launched through Henri Bendel. This venture has been her first step in entering the competitive world of fashion designers.

She met her fiancé Alex von Furstenberg while she is still studying at Columbia University, and it led her to the stylish and classy family of Furstenberg. Her present business partner in Keep Me apparel Anne des Barres, was an apprentice in DVF, a company owned by Diane von Furstenberg. Diane is the mother of Alex, and she introduces Ali Kay to Anne in order to help her establish her own business. They shared the same passion for stylish and trendy living that it sparks an instant fondness between them. Diane even made Ali as the model of her Ad campaign for DVF.

When Ali and Anne des Barres launched their Keep Me Collection, Ali is hands-on to the business. She personally takes care of the design pattern of their line and responsible of the public relation as well as overseeing the trade. Because of all her hard work, Keep Me has been recognized in 2008 in the fashion industry when it won the 1st place in the Lingerie and Intimates category from the International Design Awards. IDA was created to grant acknowledgement and encourage emerging ability in fashion, graphic and interior designs and architecture. All of her lavish and comfortable apparel turned out to be a hit not only with the common consumer but to the celebrities too. The media become interested in her works, and a lot of publicity has been covered for her. Magazines and stylish publication also highlighted her craft.  All of these attributes to Ali Kay’s persona. She is not only good-looking but a multi-talented lady too.
